Mr Sum Yee Loon is a graduate from Nanyang Technological University(NTU), where he received his Master of Science in Communications Engineering.

After graduation, Yee Loon launched his career in consumer, industrial and healthcare electronics, specialising in wireless devices. This eventually led to several projects where he designed custom electronic products for customers in Asia, Russia, and the United States.

He later returned to NTU to pursue his PhD where he disclosed 6 technical knowhow and 3 patent pending technologies. A patent on lighting controls has also been granted in both the US and Singapore. This patent is recently incorporated into the latest horticulture lamp product.
